Meet Dr. John A. Crumpton, Medical Director and Owner
Dr. John A. Crumpton graduated from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor's degree in Science – Biology in 1991. He continued his education at the Medical University of South Carolina where he graduated with a degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1996. He completed a 3 year Prosthodontic Residency at the University of Alabama – Birmingham in 1999. Dr. Crumpton opened his practice in July 1999. He is an active member of the South Carolina Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Crumpton has a passion for his patients and dentistry. A sports injury caused him to have broken teeth at a young impressionable age. That experience led him into the dental field and specifically to the area of prosthodontics. Dr. Crumpton’s wife of 18 years, Dr. Amanda Schmitt Crumpton, met while they were in school at UAB. They are the proud parents of 3 children. Dr. Crumpton’s hobbies include watching his children play sports, attending Clemson football games, hunting, fishing, and spending time on his farm. Dr. Crumpton is also an active member of Secona Baptist church.
Meet Miranda Brock, CEO and Owner
Miranda Brock, EFDA
Dental Assistant- 16 years’ experience
Miranda graduated from Tri-County Tech where she received an associate’s degree in Expanded Function Dental Assisting and was awarded Patterson Clinical Excellencies award. Miranda has also received further training in fabricating temporary crown and bridge at UAB School of Dentistry. She joined Dr. Crumpton's team in October of 2002. Miranda started her career in education in 2011 where she taught the Dental Assisting course and then went on into the administrative side of managing career training schools. She is very passionate about education and loves to see each of her students succeed in there new career path! Miranda has two daughters and she enjoys being outdoors, long walks, spending time with her family and is an active member at Parkwood Baptist Church.
Meet Taylor, Administrative Assistant
Dental Assistant- 5 years’ experience
Taylor graduated from Palmetto School of Career Development where she received her certification in Dental Assisting. She worked in the Oral Surgery field for 5 years. Taylor started her career in education in 2013 where she taught the Dental Assisting course and then went to work in administration. Taylor is married with two children, Eli and Olivia. She enjoys being outdoors, hunting, spending time with her husband and enjoying her children!
Meet Tiffany, Lead Dental Assisting Instructor
I am Tiffany Patterson. I am a certified dental assistant as well a treatment coordinator for a local dental office in Greenville, SC. I have been in the dental field since 2010. I graduated from Tri-County Technical College with a Diploma in Expanded Functions Dental Assisting. I love the dental field. It’s always changing. I love helping students reach their career goals. In my spare time, I love volunteering at the local animal shelter.
Meet Valerie, Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor
Valerie graduated from SCC in 2008. What she loves the most about her career is the opportunity to help and care for others, along with the pleasure of improving people's self confidence and keeping them healthy at the same time. She also loves to continue her education, eager to learn new things. Valerie currently lives in Greenville with her two daughters Gia and Taya and her husband Rhyker. On her spare time she enjoys gardening, home DIY projects, cooking, and being a self proclaimed foodie.
Meet Ashlie, Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor My name is Ashlie Humphries and I love dentistry! I have been a dental assistant for nine years. I graduated from Spartanburg Community College and I am state board certified by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). I work at Crowns Now Dentistry as a lead dental assistant, supply manager and trainer. I have been a dental assisting instructor for 3 years. I enjoy teaching the hands on clinical portion of the dental program. I am excited to share my passion for dentistry with others.
Meet Tracy, Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor
My name is Tracy Crombie and I’ve been a Registered Dental Assistant for 24 years. I moved here from California in 2006. I am married to Doug one of the nicest human beings that walk this earth. I have two daughters and a grandson. When I’m not at work I love to hang out with friends and have game nights.
One of my passions is to lead by example. I enjoy teaching and educating others to understand and improve their dental health and how it affects their day to day lives and overall health.
I have been teaching over three years, you can count on me to be dependable, prompt and encouraging those around me.
Meet Jessie, Medical Administrative Assisting Instructor
Jessie graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. She currently works for Concentrix doing third party reimbursement for medical claims. Jessie has been in healthcare for 13 years. She has been a Medical Administrative Assistant Instructor since 2017 and loves it. Jessie also fills in as an instructor for the Medical Billing and Coding course as needed. She enjoys learning new things and being able to help others achieve their educational goals. Jessie has 4 boys, her youngest being in high school. She loves spending time outdoors with her husband and also enjoy cooking and reading in her spare time.
Meet Shana, Medical Billing and Coding Instructor
Shana is a 2019 graduate of North Greenville University with a Master of Business Administration degree. She also holds a RHIT credential for medical billing and coding. She has over 14 years of healthcare experience and most recently working at a chronic care management company. She has worked in the medical coding and billing field for over 6 years and loves it!
One of her greatest joys in life is helping others through teaching. She loves to incorporate "real-world" scenarios into her teachings, in order for her students to gain a thorough concept of medical coding and billing. She wants to ensure that all of her students leave the classroom feeling accomplished and confident in their learning.
She has two kitties that she loves dearly and spoils them more than she should. She enjoys a few different activities in her spare time; that include playing board games, frequenting different restaurants, and (of course) escape rooms!
Meet Michelle, Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor and CPR/ AED Instructor
My dental career started in 1977. I am a Vietnam veteran, so I started my career at the VA hospital as a dental assistant. My love for the profession lead me to a 40 year dental hygiene career. During my journey, I started teaching CPR classes for Greenville technical college as well as being a dental hygiene clinical instructor. I found teaching very rewarding.
I have been teaching dental assisting for 9 years.
I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. I workout doing CrossFit and swim regularly.
