Dental Assistant- 20 years’ experience
Miranda graduated from Tri-County Tech where she received an associate’s degree in Expanded Function Dental Assisting and was awarded Patterson Clinical Excellencies award. Miranda has also received further training in fabricating temporary crown and bridge at UAB School of Dentistry. She joined Dr. Crumpton's team in October of 2002. Miranda started her career in education in 2011 where she taught the Dental Assisting course and then went on into the administrative side of managing career training schools. She is very passionate about education and loves to see each of her students succeed in there new career path! Miranda enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, outdoor activities, traveling and cooking!
Meet Hollie, Administrative Assistnat
Hollie possesses a robust background in customer service, boasting five years of experience in the banking sector. Additionally, she is the proud owner of a children's boutique. In her leisure time, Hollie cherishes moments spent with her husband, baby boy, and furry companions. She also enjoys listening to music, cruising with her windows down, and indulging in shopping.
Meet Timmy, Administrative Assistant/ Tuition Assistance Coordinator
Timmy has dedicated more than four years to the education sector. He collaborates with tuition assistance programs to manage monthly progress reports for students currently enrolled in courses, while also partnering with caseworkers to facilitate student entry into programs. In his personal life, Timmy is an avid golfer, enjoys Pro Wrestling, and loves traveling with his wife and children.
Meet Valerie, Dental Program Department Head, Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor, Student Services Coordinator
Valerie completed her studies at Spartanburg Community College, earning her Diploma as an expanded duty dental assistant in 2008. She has also held CDA certification since 2009. With more than 16 years of experience in general dentistry and 7 years of teaching, Valerie offers a rich depth of knowledge to her students. When she's not engaged with patients or students, Valerie loves spending quality time with her husband and two daughters.
Meet Brittany, Chairside Dental Assisting Instructor
Brittany is dental assisting instructor here at Capstone Career and Development. She is also a EFDA in Spartanburg, South Carolina. “ I knew that I always wanted to be a teacher just not in the K-12 setting” After high school, Brittany continued her education at Greenville Technical College and studied Expanded Functions Dental Assisting. “Dentistry has always been important to me and being able to help other learn about dentistry is my true passion.” When Brittany is not chairside assisting, you can find her and AJ(her husband) cruising or taking a long weekend getaway.
Meet Yvette Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor,
Yvette graduated from Spartanburg Community College as a certified expanded duty dental assistant in 2008. Yvette is certified to perform CPR and is trained in OSHA standards. She is also certified to perform x-rays. Yvette enjoys furthering her education by attending certified educational courses. In her free time, Yvette enjoys reading mystery books and spending time with her husband and two children.
Meet Ashlie Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor,
Ashlie graduated for Spartanburg Community College in 2010 with a Associates Degree in Applied Science. She is Dental Assisting National Board certified with 15 years of experience in Chairside Dental Assisting. Ashlie has 10 years expereince in Instructing Dental Assisting. In her spare time Ashlie loves spending time with her daughter and husband, getting outside and enjoying the beautiful outdoors and she loves to travel and explore new places. She is very passionate about Dentistry and loves sharing her knowledge with others.
Meet Chasity, Medical Program Department Head, Clinical Medical Assisting Instructor
Chasity graduated from Spartanburg Technical College in 2004 as a Certified Medical Assistant. She has over 18 years of experience in OB/GYN. She is also certified in CPR, DOT drug screenings, and BAT(Breath Alcohol Technician) testing, where she is also an instructor. A significant aspect of her responsibilities involves overseeing billing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness. Additionally, she is involved in conducting Biometrics Clinics and performing blood draws. She takes pride in her role in organizing health fairs aimed at introducing new and enhanced services provided by our clinics. This includes arranging various clinics such as Influenza vaccines and Hepatitis B vaccinations to promote health and wellness among our clientele. Outside of her professional commitments, she is married with three children. She enjoys supporting the South Carolina State football team as a proud percussion band mom.
Meet Antionette, Clinical Medical Assisting Instructor
Antionette has over 14 years of experience in the Medical field with 7 years experience in clinical and instructing disciplines. She attended ECPI and holds and Associates of Science in Medical assisting.
Meet Sharieka, Pharmacy Technician Instructor
Sharieka Graduated from Virginia College Certified Pharmacy Technician, holding state certifications in SC, NC and CO. She is PTCB Certified nationally. Sharieka has 15 years experience in retail, hospital and closed door pharmacies. She taught the math portion of the Pharmacy Tech course at Virginia College.
Meet Patricia, Medical Administrative Assisting, Clinical Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy Technician Instructor
Dedicated healthcare professional and educator with over 15 years of experience in medical assisting, healthcare administration, and academic instruction. I am passionate about supporting team goals and fostering student success, consistently creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. My teaching approach is highly adaptive, accommodating diverse learning styles and leveraging technology to enhance engagement and outcomes.
I have been a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT since 2009. I am a proud two-time ECPI University alumnus, holding both an Associate of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. I further advanced my expertise by earning an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Strayer University. For the past two years, I have also served as a certified CPR instructor through the American Heart Association, equipping others with essential life-saving skills.
